FP5 camera has issues with computer screens

My FP5 fails to focus on computer screens, even from not-so-close distances. This makes it particularly annoying to scan QR codes. I need to increase the QR code size so it fits the entire screen in order to be large enough the blurryness doesn’t matter.
Is there anything I can do about that or can this be solved in a future software update?
The problem occurs specifically when signing in to Web versions of communication apps (that’s where I mostly use the QR code feature.)

With how many different screens have you tried that? I don’t want to say that there is no problem at all, but in general I’m using QR codes frequently to transfer links from a computer to my phone and with my FP5 this works far better (and often already while moving the camera to the right spot) than with my previous FP2. Some QR code scanner apps fail to use the auto focus (e.g. SecScanQR), then it may help to toggle the flash light, not particularly because of the light but because that triggers the auto focus again. Maybe that is what you are missing?

This indicates that you might be affected by the missing auto focus. So really, if they provide the option to turn on the flash light for scanning, try this.

I tried with 3 different screens; my previous phone focused on all of them. I’ll try the flashlight next time, if I have that option…

Looks pretty much like the issue… but, I mean, ideally, the camera should focus on a QR code without starting the camera or flashlight or whatever, right?

Well as said it works flawlessly for me without any workarounds since then, so yeah it would be great its like that from the first try, however fo me nothing that worries me.
