I am experiencing a problem with the levels of an external microphone.
I am using a 1MORE E1001 (triple) pair of headphones with external microphone and controller. I bought a USB-C to jack connector because the headphones have a 3.5 mm jack. Everything works, BUT the volume of the external microphone is very low, therefore the noise is pretty high. With my previous Samsung S7 there was an equalizer to permanently set the gain and shape of both input and output.
Is there a workaround without rooting? Even selecting the microphone to be used would be an acceptable compromise for business calls. The phone has a considerable weight that doesn’t allow having long conversations holding it to the ears.
