FP4 - Changing USB C port advice needed

Hi there,

I have had issues with charging my fairphone 4 and I ordered a replacemente usb c port and battery. I wanted to fix it today, but it stopped charging and in the video it says that I need a fully charged battery to do so. Does it matter? I won’t be able to charge it and it’s on 13%.

any advice is hugely appreciated! the phone was charging okish/slowly until yesterday night.

Which video?

I don’t see any (technical) reason why it should.
Just have a proper look into the ifixit guide here, it should be of more help with your charging port issue.

thanks I managed to do it :slight_smile: the video was the one that fairphone sent me after I purchased the replacements.
