Hi - there is another thread on this topic also at FP5 charging issues - #16 by MegaLOOPING. This seems to be a recurring issue for a minority of users, as it crops up on Reddit also. I have the same issue with my 1 year old FP5.
Changing the port seems to be the main solution people propose, but this is hard to do outside of Europe as FP doesn’t ship beyond Europe (I am in New Zealand), so I clean the port with isopropyl alcohol every time before I charge. This is working (temperamentally) for now.
Has anyone found a solution? Has a new port fixed it? Or something else?
