I’m a very happy FP3+ user, and I just wanted to let everyone here, and especially the makers of Fairphone know: Thank you!
I had exactly the same issue as described here, for example:
I was about to buy a new display module - and veeeeery happy it’s still available, but then I read more forum posts here, which suggested to:
“simply try: detach screen, clean contacts, reassemble”.
Thanks to the official “HowTo replace the display of your Fairphone 3" video on youtube clip” - I literally dared to fix my problem in a short break between work.
It took me 5 minutes.
I am so so so happy!
I just wanted to let you know.
It’s totally worth it, having a vendor who wants their products to be kept alive - and supported.
And thanks to everyone who posts their experiences and solutions online (here).
