Over the past week I’ve lost two audio files from the downlaods folder without deleting them myself. Is this a virus or a problem others are having?
This behaviour can be observed more often under Android, even on different smartphones and the most diverse file formats. I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of this mystery for some time now, but I can’t find any clarifying information. It’s probably a bug in Android that hasn’t been fixed yet.
To solve this problem, I got into the habit of moving the files to another folder immediately after downloading them. So far, this has worked without any losses.
Out of curiosity do you have an SD card and how did you format it?

Many thanks I’ll do that now. It only started happening recently for some reason. I’m glad its not likely to be a virus.
