There are many reasons mentioned above already or in all the other topics in the forum requiring this like a broken record since years

Compatibility of Fairphone 3 spare parts and Fairphone 2

For now (and probably for a long time) a new core module will always mean a whole new phone. Most components have certain other components they are compatible with and changing the main components will mean that the externals won’t be compatible even if you design the modules to have the same shape. Fairphone 2.5 core upgrade

I have been thinking about what the idea of the fairphone 3 would be like. But then in the end, my conclusion was, it should be the core update. I’m sure all have had that idea, but is it that far off? I mean, you could take all your current modules off. then apply screen, top, buttom, battery and case. Suggestion for a new way of modularity

FP3 has 1 year of life and we got the 3+ camera module this summer. So FP3 has another 4 year before reaching the EoL (end of life). Would be great if Fairphone will build the new CORE module, giving us the possibility to upgrade CPU, RAM.
