Hi Welcome to the forum.
With the modular design it’s hard to see where things can be reduced in size and if I’m correct the phones have been getter larger FP1 < FP2 < FP3 < FP4

The new FP4 is nearly a Fairphone “mini”
Not a mini smartphone but a mini tablet 
So, this then also answers all questions if there will ever be a tablet from Fairphone.
