I noticed that the Fairphone 6 camera app can recognize simple QR codes, but it took me a while to realize that the built-in QR scanner is not as fully integrated as on Samsung, Google, or Apple devices.
I understand that scanning QR codes for things like Telegram or WhatsApp login/sync may not be essential for everyone. However, support for QR-based flows used during authentication — for example, logging into Google or Microsoft accounts where a QR code is scanned and the phone is used as a physical security key via Bluetooth pairing between devices — feels like an important feature in my opinion.
At this moment I have two apps (Fairphone Camera and Google Lens which im using specially for this types of advanced QR Codes).
Is there a chance this functionality could be improved or added in future Fairphone OS builds?
For Moderator: I seen only there is French language topic which could be related ( 🇫🇷 Qr code fairphone 6 - #2 by Meaghan ), but don’t want to mix to languages and help topic as that mightby just feature request/suggestion for missing feature, then issue.
