Hi All,
I have an FP4, build FP4.TP21.C.0121.20240626.
First, I noticed that ChatGPT app didn’t detect any sound at all. Not that big of a deal, so I ignored it.
This week, I’ve started using my phone to take videos. The sound of the video is recorded only in the right channel. The left channel has quiet white noise.
I’ve tried using both the latest camera app (thank goodness the camera app finally works well), and the Google Camera app that was available to download from random sites. Both of them record a video with stereo channels, but the left channel is just white noise. I can hear this if the video is played back on the phone through my headphones, or on my desktop computer.
It happens immediately after restarting when the camera app was the very first thing run, so I don’t /think/ that something else would be running somehow affecting the mike.
For my purposes now, it’s not the end of the world. I just go into Audacity, split the channels, delete the left one, leaving the right one the mono channel. It gets the job done, but it’s a bunch of extra work.
I’ve checked Settings->Accessibility->Audio->Audio Adjustment and the balance is in the middle.
Is there another software setting to check, or could this be a hardware issue?
