I was worried about this when I originally purchased. I have two fairphones 4s one with Android and the other with Ubuntu Touch.
One of the batteries became swollen which is now a unsafe hazard.
I can’t find anyway to purchase a battery in the U.S. what should I do?
Kind of defeats sustainability and repair ability if the parts aren’t sold.
Hello, Murena has it but now it is out of stock.
Please consider the following:
- checking some other resellers as well,
- asking at the US topics - perhaps some one has an old battery lying around,
- registering at murena to be notified once it’s back
Please dispose of a swollen battery as soon as possible.

Is that the recommended place to shop for Fairphone products in the U.S.? Though I think they only ship with /e/OS. Can you unlock bootloader and change OS on a Murena Fairphone?
Murena is an official FP partner in the US.
However I seem to recall that if you purchase from Murena and (re)flash FPOS, it affects your warranty. Please double check warranty conditions offered by Murena.
I guess with the new tolls its incredible difficult to get things to US from companies.
Yes, you can. Don’t lock the bootloader in the process.
First you have to check
`fastboot flashing get_unlock_ability_’
If the outcome is 0 then never lock the phone, because it will brick the phone.
