Hello! I am trying to get my phone setup with an extended warranty and am trying to flash /e/ os, but cannot due to the nonstandard length of my IMEI. This also means I am cut off from the support email and cannot contact fairphone directly until live chat comes online. Can someone help?
nevermind, I entered the IMEI for slot 2 and it works. no idea what’s going on.
Nevermind, this one does not work. I assume I need the IMEI for slot one, but it’s too short to register.
I also tried guessing every single digit for the last digit and one provided a code, which did not work with the error “no such phone”
found out the last digit of the IMEI is a checksum using IMEI.info, and it turns out when I fill in the last digit, it refers to a different model fairphone 4 (128gb model instead of 256gb)
is there something wrong with my device?
I guess best is to contact support via the online chat function.
Overall you can always send a general request to support without naming the IMEI upfront
Hello,
If all four sources named in the support article provide you with the same, an only 14 digits number, https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/4405873370001-Fairphone-4-IMEI-Serial-Numbers-of-the-Phone-and-its-Spare-Parts, I guess you would need to contact them directly and the online chat should be the quickest way, as @yvmuell suggested
