I have a little problem with Signal Messenger. It does not affect the function.
I’ll try to explain it in my words. When I write messages back and forth then jumps, then you see yes when the other chat participant writes. And that then slides under the gBoard keyboard, so I have to scroll again.
The other problem is when I reply to a message and then highlight it, then your part of the text flickers in that chat box. Then also times the cursor disappears while typing.
This is strange, I never had these problems before. In WhatsApp do not have the problem, if someone asks now :D.
Does anyone have similar experience? Of course the latest version of Signal, Android etc… is installed.
I would love to help, but I don’t understand your problem. Could you try to give another example of the issue? Could you describe the problem in other words again or in another language, Dutch or German perhaps?
erstmal vielen Dank für deine Unterstützung. Im deutschen ist es auch einfacher für mich :).
Also ich benutze Signal schon seit vielen Jahren, das da mal Bugs dabei waren, kennt ja jeder der länger dabei ist.
Was irgendwie neu ist und ich mich Frage, ob es am FP4 liegt, oder am Messenger selbst liegt, das die Darstellung nicht mehr optimal ist.
Ich versuche es mal zu gliedern:
1.
In einer laufenden Unterhaltung sieht man durch die Tipp-Indikator (also die 3 Punkte unten Links die dann auftauchen, wenn der Chatteilnehmer schreibt), soweit bekannt. Der Tipp Indikator wird ja aktiv eingeblendet und schiebt ja den geschrieben Text im etwas nach oben, damit dieser dann am Rand des Keyboards (bei mir ist die Google Tastatur gBoard) leicht nach oben. Aber ich sehe das dann nur etwas abgeschnitten und muss selbst per Fingerscrollen um den Tipp Indikator zu sehen. Es sieht einfach optisch irgendwie falsch aus, das es nicht funktioniert.
Kennst du das Problem?
Wenn du auf einen Text antworten willst, kannst du ja den Text mit einer Wischbewegung markieren und du kannst auf diesen Text der geschrieben wurde, antworten. Innerhalb dieser Antwortbox, nach dem sie gesendet wurde, sind immer wieder mal teile des Textes am Flimmern. Also der Text blinkt förmlich, wie bei einer defekten Leuchtschrift in einem Schaufenster, aber nur einzelne Wörter.
Ist das jemand vielleicht aufgefallen?
Weswegen frage ich, mein Anliegen ist es natürlich zu vermeiden jetzt alles neu zu installieren, wenn das ein bekanntest Problem ist bei den FP4 Modellen. Dann will ich mir den Aufwand sparen und die Chats nicht zu löschen :D. Wenn es sein muss, mach ich das natürlich :D.

nein, beide Issues sind mir unbekannt.
Bei uns (wir haben in unserer family zwei FP4 mit jeweils einer SIGNAL App) erscheinen die 3 Punkte als optische Info, dass der Gesprächspartner gerade etwas antwortet, die sogenannten Tippindikatoren, wie Du es richtig benannt hast. Da schiebt sich nichts, die 3 Pünktchen erscheinen in Bewegung (= nacheinander blinkend), bleiben aber grundsätzlich immer an demselben Platz, bis der Gesprächspartner seinen Text fertig gestellt und abgesandt hat. Dann verschwindet der Tippindikator völlig und an seine Stelle tritt der Text.
Meine Lösung wäre:
Screenshot von beiden Issues fertigen
SIGNAL App löschen
Power Off (= FP einmal komplett ausmachen)
SIGNAL App via App Store neu downloaden
Das alles geht ganz schnell und ist kein Aufwand.
Sollten auch bei der neu runtergeladenen SIGNAL App Probleme sein, würde ich die Screenshots sowohl an SIGNAL als auch hier ins Forum stellen.
Ich wäre gerne der Lösung näher mit meiner Antwort an Dich. Aber ich hoffe, dass ich wenigstens ein bisschen helfen konnte.
Würde mich freuen, wenn Du uns hier im Forum weiter auf dem Laufenden halten könntest. Vielleicht hilft es anderen weiter.

Sorry, both problems are unknown here.
Regarding question 1:
With us (we have two FP4s in our family, each with a SIGNAL app), the 3 dots appear as visual information that the other person is currently answering something, the so-called tip indicators, as you have correctly named it. Nothing shifts, the 3 dots appear in motion (= flashing one after the other), but always remain in the same place until the conversation partner has finished his text and sent it. Then the typing indicator disappears completely and the text takes its place.
Regarding question 2:
Flickering in the answer box is also unknown to me.
My solution would be:
take a screenshot of both issues
delete SIGNAL App
power off (= turn off FP completely)
download the SIGNAL App again via the App Store.
All this is very quick and does not require any effort.
If there are also problems with the newly downloaded SIGNAL App, I would post the screenshots both to SIGNAL and here in the forum.
I would like to be closer to the solution with my answer to you. But I hope I could help at least a little bit.
Perhaps you could keep us updated here in the forum. Maybe it will help others.

und Signal neu installiert und auch mein G-Board zurück gesetzt. Jetzt läuft es auf jeden fall wieder gut.
