Please help
The problem I have is somehow touched here, I still cannot get adb running in recovery mode on my fairphone 3.
I have followed https://divestos.org/builds/LineageOS/fp3/install.htno.
11. Doesn’t work, as device is not accessible via adb.
In bootloader phone is accessible via usb adb, but not in recovery. No ADB device is displayed by “adb devices”, I have tried adb via tcp, then the device is visible, but offline and I haven’t found a way to get it online.
Background: phone boots after “The bootloader is unlocked…” (in yellow letters) to divestos I suppose due to divested-20.0-202408101dos1FP31fastboot.zip successfully installed in step 9.
But you clicked “Apply update”, then “Apply from ADB” first, before you tried to sideload?

I am sure @SkewedZeppelin can help. If you are familiar with XMPP, you can ask in the divestOS chat:

Did you check if the adb-drivers are installed properly? (On Windows in Device Manager)
Thank you both!
After reading a lot more, it appears, as fastboot and adb sideload are two alternative ways which work individually.
It appears to me, that I currently have and use the fast boot fp3 divstos (via bootloader) and it works well for me. It seems I don’t need the sideload version, as the phone is operating.
@Laaas
you must use both the fastboot and adb sideload to ensure the install is correct
if for whatever reason you cannot sideload, please use the Updater app to install the update again
