Fairbuds XL on Linux Mint as headSET?

Hello all,

My Linux Mint (21.3 Virginia, with PipeWire v. 0.3.48 running) did recognize my Fairbuds XL straight out of the box as headPHONES but not as a headSET. That is, they are recognized as a sound output device but not as a sound input device. Any ideas?

Solved: I can select either headphones or headset mode at will. It just defaults to headphones.
