  • Sometimes also intermittent high beep
  • Sometimes one or both earphones randomly shut down

Longer:
Hey all,
Hope I placed this under the right category and that I’m not breaking any guidelines. Anyways, I recently got the Fairbuds and I really want to like these products. However, using them is relatively unpleasant due to a static noise in the background. The static is of a medium to high tone. After about 30 minutes of wear I just can’t stand to keep them in for longer. It happens for both earphones and has happened ever since I first got them (new). The issue happens with and without noise cancelling, and also with the ambient noise setting (though harder to notice). I’ve also experienced an intermittent high-pitched beeping (lasting ±5 seconds, then off for ± seconds, repeating), though this is more rare. I’ve also had multiple cases where the earphones randomly shut down, despite still having charge. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal, or a defect? If this is a defect, is FP likely to cover this under warranty? Thanks in advance :).

Welcome to the forum.

From personal experience I cannot say that this is normal or expected behavior. With the two different sets of fairbuds I tested so far, I never noticed any strong background static/noise and certainly no beeping sounds. Your product might have been defective from the start. I suggest you contactsupport. Depending on the details you might have to send them in to their repair center, but I expect that they will acknowledge the problem and fix it one way or anther.
