Failed reason of 404 error when re-installing google apps

What do I do when I get ‘failed reason of 404 error’ while upgrading FP1?
I’ve seen this question before but don’t see what the answer is in my particular situation.
I have data connection on and have tried on wifi access, and have not see the option to ‘enter advanced mode’.
Any advice would be great!

Does your FP1 run the latest version of Fairphone OS Kola Nut 1.8.7?

When I try to find out the current version of FP in updater it does not say the version just “Release notes: Release notes:For the full list of changes, please visit fairphone.com/support”. With only the option to install… nothing else and when I install and then try up re-install google apps … i get the 404 message…

Go to Settings > Apps > All Apps > Fairphone Updater and Clear Cache of the app. If this doesn’t work, also Clear Data.
