Following the experience of the first so-called “Install Party” (you can see a video here with fairphone user @laurent_guerguy ), the non profit Setem is organizing a second edition which will take place on 17th and 27th December in Plaça Catalunya, Barcelona. And again they are looking for some volunteers that could be there in one of these timeframes:
- December 17th from 11:00 to 15:00
- December 17th from 16:00 to 20:30
- December 27th from 16:00 to 20:30
For those who are not familiar with the concept, their idea is to offer fairer alternative to everyday situations, and for that reason they have invited several non-profits, social companies and organizations to talk about themselves (see complete list below), and they would like Fairphone to be present in order to talk about the FP and help visitors to buy their own one (more information on this on this link -only in Catalan). For that reason they contacted me asking if there would be a group of FP volunteers that could make shifts in order to cover most of the day there, since it will be difficult for fairphone staff to be present there.
So the purpose of this message is twofold: on the one hand in order to let the community know about such an interesting event. And on the other hand (and most importantly) the question is: Is anyone interested in volunteering their time in the faire?

Tras la experiencia de la primera “Install party”, (podéis ver un vídeo aquí en el que sale @laurent_guerguy), la ONG Setem ha organizado una segunda edición durante los días 17 y 27 de diciembre en la Plaça Catalunya de Barcelona y buscan voluntarios que puedan estar presentes en algunas de estas franjas horarias:
- 17 de diciembre de 11:00 a 15:00
- 17 de diciembre de 16:00 a 20:30
- 27 de diciembre de 16:00 a 20:30
Para quienes no estén familiarizados con la Install Party, su idea es ofrecer alternativas más justas a situaciones cotidianas (transporte, seguros, comunicaciones, banca…), y por esa razón han invitado a distintas ONG, empresas sociales y organizaciones para presentar sus servicios o productos (ver lista completa a continuación) y les gustaría que Fairphone estuviese presente para hablar del FP y ayudar a los visitantes a comprar uno (más información en este enlace, aunque está únicamente en catalán).
Así pues, el motivo de este mensaje es doble: por un lado informar de un evento tan interesante, y por otro (y seguramente más importante) para saber si habría alguna persona interesada en estar presentes durante el día (o parte de él).
