Equalweb widget in the forum? (Not working currently?)

Today I noticed this widget on the right side of the screen when browsing the forum in Firefox on my PC (interestingly, it’s not there in Vivaldi, and it’s not there on the phone) …

Upon hovering over it, it expands to let me move it up and down on the screen …

But anyway, clicking it results in an error message …

… which I can’t close, the close button does nothing!
Reloading the page helps.

What is this, and can I disable it?
I didn’t immediately find a button or such in the preferences.

Equalweb (the link in the error message) would have this … Instantly Make Your Website Accessible | EqualWeb AI Widget

… but the widget in the Fairphone forum looks more like this here, only in the new Fairphone colours … Discourse web accessibility widget installation - All In One Accessibility, but this could also just be design coincidence …

I had it blocked with Adblock Plus on my firefox. But the address was still with fairphone.

Edit to say it’s now on my phone app as well.

Hi folks,

Thanks for flagging this.

Fairphone has implemented a new widget on the Fairphone website and webshop to aid with accessibility. An existing integration appears to be responsible for the appearance on the forum.

I’ve reached out to the relevant people with some questions. I’ll get back to you once I know more.

As quick as the widget appeared, it has now disappeared again. It was never intended to be present on our community forum and has been patched by the folks I reached out to.

Once again, thanks for flagging this issue and I hope this clears things up.

Hi, thank you for your reply.

It seems to be working as intended in the My Fairphone App when browsing the shop
