Empty folders on Windows USB connection

After switching to MTP all folders appear empty on windows.

I might be misunderstanding you, but if there is another setting where the folders were not empty have you tried switching back?

What have you tried to solve the issue? Have you tried a different USB cable or USB port?

…or different OS such a Linux live?

yes I’ve tried all of that except an other os. Build 19.08.1 here
