I have used ChatGPT app on Stockrom (Fairphone 4 Firmware) and it was good and so on. But I use the text to speech function because I have speech difficulties. Now OpenAI has probably built in this new speech to speech engine and since then TTS no longer works.
Does it have to do with the fact that the Fairphone 4 is still on Android 13? Because I’ve heard that Android 14 probably has new AI functions. What I also don’t know is whether an NPU is required for functions, which only the latest smartphones have.
I have already written to OpenAI support, but they said I should probably report it in the Playstore so that the developers can see it. I then left a review to draw attention to it, as I don’t know how else to contact them.
Have you heard anything about this?
