“It seems that Google has established a surveillance function for Android phones. They are claiming the right, to collect and store meta data from incoming/outgoing phone calls and SMS from Android smartphones.”
Google Mobile Services (Google Apps) are true backdoors for Google. They are apps with system permissions (a.k.a. root permissions), which enables them to do almost anything without your consent, like reading your call/SMS historial without exposing that permission on an specific app (the default security model for Android).
FP Open OS doesn’t contains GMS, so I’m not worried by that announcement.
