Just a simple question, is UWB supported on FP6?
I used a LLM to search the internet for information. It couldn’t find any mention of a UWB-capable chip in connection with the Fairphone 6 anywhere. And since it’s a feature that would be mentioned anywhere (especially by Fairphone themselves), I assume the FP6 doesn’t have UWB-support.
Also see:
Looks like what you look for is in the Features section in GSMArena.
And indeed, FP6 doesn’t have it.
It supports it.
UWB
is a short-range wireless technology. The posts in your link are referring to 5G UWB
which is just common 5G Internet, hence the name.
It’s confusing cause 5G UWB is just the commercial name for a sub-type of 5G (bands 77-79, as I understand correctly).
Here the UWB they’re talking about is probably the thing to unlock your car with, like switch said, a short-range radio like bluetooth.
