Does fairphone pay tax in the jurisdiction it’s purchased in?
Since the Netherlands are part of the EU and I am sure that most Fairphones are sold to EU states, I think that they don’t have to. But may a worker of the company will read along and come with some facts.
If you mean VAT, then yes. The amount you see in the web shop depends on your country.
If you mean VAT, it’s paid by the consumer and yes Fairphone seem to handle it correctly. It is charged from the customer if he/she is an individual within the European Union.
“Paying tax” is not a singular thing, you have taxes on wages, profits and so on. Fairphone is incorporated in the Netherlands and as such they pay tax there, not where the customer is located.
