Disable usb mount sdcard?

Hi all,

if i enable the usb connection option “mount sd card”, everybody is allowed to mount the sd-card via usb, no password required. I am using the latetest version of fp open.

My (dumb?) question: Is there a way to change the usb/sd-card mounting options without having the ff2 connected via usb? I did not find them till now… :-/

You need to have the phone unlocked to mount the SD card; so if you feel it is unsafe this way, activate screen lock (e.g. with pin or password; you can find that in settings - security - screen lock).
On the other hand, as long as you haven’t encrypted your SD card, anyone can get data from your SD easily, by just taking it out of the device and plug it to a computer.

I don’t really understand your question though …

Settings → Storage → (Upper three dots) → Conection to computer (or something similar)

Option appears greyed for me when not connected by USB, but I don’t have an SD card on my FP2.

Hi Roboe,

thank you for that hint, these are the options i was searching for!
But sadly, these are greyed out if there is not usb connection :-/

Hi,

ff2 tells the world happily about the sdcard with screensaver enabled:

mtp-probe: checking bus 5, device 3: "/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:13.0/usb5/5-1"
mtp-probe: bus: 5, device: 3 was not an MTP device

sd 14:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg3 type 0
sd 14:0:0:0: [sdc] Attached SCSI removable disk
sd 14:0:0:0: [sdc] 124735488 512-byte logical blocks: (63.9 GB/59.5 GiB)
sd 14:0:0:0: [sdc] Write cache: enabled, read cache: enabled, doesn’t support DPO or FUA
sdc: sdc1

No problem to mount this device.

…so i’d like to deactivate this even when not connected via usb.
