USB Driver
A driver is needed on a computer so that it can communicate with a device (in our case a Fairphone). In most cases the computer downloads a driver automatically and the user doesn’t have to install the driver him/herself. If not, there are some sources, which can help:

Nowadays it is common that you can only use MTP to access your smartphone.
Check if you have ‘simple-mtpfs’ of something similar installed.
Put simple-mtpfs on /mnt as root with the commandsimple-mtpfs /mnt
cd /mnt
ls
and you will see your phone
