On my previous phone (LG G6), besides the ‘low battery’ and ‘critical battery’ warning as notifications, at 3%, there was a popup. It said something like ‘Critically low battery, your phone will shut down in 60 sec’, where the number went counting down. It also stopped any media playing. This was really good! It happened to me from time to time, when listening to a podcast/audiobook or music late in the day, without looking at the screen. I was always able to reach a charger.
On the Fariphone 5, I reach that battery level, triggering shutdown, more often because the battery life isn’t as good, and I only charge to 80% (which is a nice feature, thanks Fairphone!) However, the Fairphone then just suddenly turns off. This is very annoying!
With such a pop-up stopping media and playing a notification sound 60 sec before shutdown, I would have always reached a charger in the at least 10 times, this happened to me. But like this, the phone always turned off, loosing some notifications etc.
@Fairphone_CM please implement something like I had on the LG G6. Thanks for the otherwise good and fair product!
