Copy photos from FP3 to Windows 11 PC via USB

I want to copy some photos from my FP3 to my PC. I connected the two with a USB lead and the phone showed that it was charging but didn’t provide any way to authorise access from the PC. The PC didn’t show the phone in File Explorer. What do I need to do?

Welcome to the Fairphone community.

If you swipe down the menu from the top of the screen, you should see a notification of the USB connection. There you can change from ‘Charging’ to ‘File transfer’.

Thank you so much for this helpful note: I did not know how to manage the transfer from FP3+ to laptop, before.
Found this looking for an answer to another issue: I cannot load my photos from FP3+ to the Bluesky App. (Before with Twitter it worked). From my laptop to the BlueskyApp-Desktop it works, In the settings Bluesky is “allowed” to access and use the camera and the photo apps.
Is there a solution?
