Contacts that I add in the mureno.io browser app on my PC sometimes do not appear in the contacts on my phone. If I re-save one such contact then it does update! So, in effect, I do not know without checking one by one whether my contacts are synced or how to make sure that they really are synced.
This is intolerable. What is going on?
Maybe thats better adressed towards murena? Else with no information about device or e/OS Version there isnt much anyone can help with I guess.
Fairphone 4,
I don’t think the o/s version matters because the problem has persisted over a number of updates. Anyway, I have just updated to the latest but it hasn’t affected this issue.
Please direct me to Mureno so I can ask the question again there.
As an aside, I am very confused about the role of the different parties that seem to be involved in what I originally viewed as a single entity when I bought the phone. For example, Fairphone, Murena, e/os, and maybe more …
(Links to support and community are at the bottom.)
Fairphone and Murena are not a single entity, but they have a partnership in place for a while now … Keeping your data safe with /e/OS - Fairphone
Fairphone build Fairphones and provide their own OS for them called Fairphone OS.
Murena provide an alternative OS for a lot of devices including Fairphones, the OS is called /e/OS. Lately they ventured into providing their own phones, too (Murena One and Two).
With the partnership in place, apart from business and technical dealings (Murena sell Fairphones preinstalled with /e/OS and receive firmware updates from Fairphone to include in /e/OS, for instance) there’s a bit of promotion going on in both directions, but ultimately and naturally everybody can and will only support their own stuff, so Fairphone will only support Fairphone OS on Fairphones, and Murena will only support /e/OS.
Of course there’s a certain overlap in communities, so it wasn’t wrong to ask here, perhaps somebody here may know something. But it’s also worthwile to ask in the other community, or Murena support.
Many thanks for this clarification!
