There is not the option to chose basque language. I think that is very important the respecting of european regions (in this case Basque Country). Chinese mobiles have the option to chose basque language.
In fact, you could use “itzuli” translator for basque language.
Please, correct is, and add basque language to languages options
Hi and welcome to the Fairphone community forum, Gorka.
You tagged your topic with both “openos” and “eos-murena”. To be absolutely sure: the basque language is missing from both the stock Fairphone OS as well as /e/OS?
In any case, to get this fixed in /e/ I think your chances are better when addressing the /e/ people in their forum.
Or, if you are familiar with bug trackers, register at Issues · e / Backlog · GitLab and file a bug there.
I just checked this on my FP3 running /e/OS (Android 14).
Settings > System > Languages includes Euskara. Perhaps the very initial starting setup only offers a reduced range, but in the system settings a three-digit number of languages is offered.
My FP3 with Fairphone default OS (Android 13) also has Euskara as an option (listed in the suggested languages list, as I’m in Spain):
I removed the openos tag as this system does not exist any more since the FP3.
Else as others confirmed the languge is available after first set-up also on the FP5 with FPOS A14.
Thank you “yvmuell” I have found where can I choose “Euskara” language.
You are right “Mixigodo”: “euskara” is available. Thanks for your help.
Thank you very much “urs_lesse”. You are right: initial starting doesn’t offer “Euskara”, but in the system settings yes. I have already changed. Thank you very much
Thank you “Ingo”. They have clarified my doubts and I can now choose the Basque language. Thank you very much.
