Can this plugin be set up so that mods can use it (=add abbreviations to the list)?
Currently I see no way to do that.

no this is not possible…the plugin page also had this question.

Q:

But there is no easy way of providing that list list, right? I see it in the code on github, but how do I customize it?

A:

You can customize it by forking the repository, then copying and pasting one of the lines (I have them in alphabetical order), substituting information in the regular expression where appropriate.

Basically this means I need to alter the files for you. So not really user friendly. Is this the only plugin for Abbreviations? Do you want me to check if there are others?

There is an official plugin, but afaik it is not working currently and also every user kept their own list of abbreviations.

Could you just add the abbreviations above and then we gather suggestions for new abbreviations to add in this topic and every now and then you add them?

yes I can but the formatting is totally different with the above list…I need to edit this.
will take me some time

also…should this one really be in there?
etc

I think it should be, but give more information than just the latin phrase. Maybe et cetera / and so forth.

I have no idea how to check if it works…I changed it on the server…might need to rebuild?

ok I need to plan this because it will put the forum offline if I need to install a plugin
