Checkup
What is the checkup app?
Itβs an app developed by Fairphone to test many of the functions of the phone to determine whether you have a hardware or software issue.
Where can I find it on my FP2?
On standard Fairphone OS and Fairphone Open OS it is preinstalled and integrated in the Settings app. You can find it under Settings β Maintenance β Checkup.
On other OSes and even on non-Fairphones you can download the app e.g. from F-Droid.
What about the FP1?
On the FP1 there is the dic:testingmode with lots of the similar tests.
The checkup app canβt be installed on an FP1, since it needs Android 5.1 or higher.
What about the FP3/FP4/FP5?
Those come with an integrated Test-Modul which can be reached when using FPOS by calling
FP4/FP5 *#*#2886#*#*
FP3 *#*#66#*#*
The checkup App see above is not installed and you can download it from F-Droid. Something to replace checkup will probably come soon though. More info here.
Are there alternative ways to access the checkup functionality?
In the most recent version of the My Fairphone App, some diagnostic functionality can be accessed via the βSupportβ menu directly. Additionally the Checkup App can be launched via this menu (βsupport > more > internal testsβ) to access its full functionality.
