Charge and play music through USB-C at the same time

Hey,
I recently bought a sharkoon mobile dac pd which has a higher maximum volume than the fairphone 3+ built in sound chip.
It’s description said that you can listen to music + use the mic and charge at the same time, but that doesn’t work.

I guess this is just something that can be enabled with a software update, right?

USB 3.0 is full duplex capable. This means that data can be transferred in both directions. With USB 2.0, you can only transfer data in one direction at a time. The Fairphone 3+ has a USB 2.0 connection. Unfortunately, it can’t be fixed with a software update, it needs a hardware upgrade to USB 3 connector.
