Change font size on Messaging/Text app

I purchased my Fairphone 5 recently and the font size on my texting/messaging app is very large. I’ve tried reducing the size in Settings> Display Size and Text and it works for all other apps like WhatsApp but the font size size in the texting/messaging app remains the same. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Which app and which OS are you using on your FP5?

I’m using Google messaging app that came with my phone. It’s an FP5 android version 14. Thanks

Did you check the app settings for text size? I use another app ,and this has a setting for this

Thanks for your reply. It just needed the pinching of two fingers. It’s sorted.
