Can't start my phone

Hi there…
My phone went dead this morning, I knew the battery was low so I just put it in the charger. Now several hours later it still wont start. No matter how long i push the reboot button, nothing happens. Just black screen…
Anyone else experienced this? Anything I can do? I tried removing the battery and the simcard for a couple of minutes, but that didn’t help.
