Can't save email as it says 'name is too long'

I’m having problems saving phone numbers and emails on phone. I input phone details and go to ‘next’, but when trying to input email address, it usually says that the ‘name is too long’ and I end up without saving either phone or email?

Are you trying to save on the SIM card?

When you are in the Contacts app and click “New Contact”, you have to choose between SIM and telephone. Contacts stored on SIM are restricted in length. Contacts in the phone storage do not have these limitations.

Please try to save your contact in “Telephone”.
