I just received my Fairphone 5, and wanted to install the community version of e/os as it runs Android 14, unlike the “official” one, but I can’t re-lock the bootloader
I was careful about not having a newer security patch version on my phone prior to installing the ROM. I followed the guide: Install /e/OS on a Fairphone FP5 - “FP5”
My problem arises at the last step “fastboot flashing lock”, as soon as I approve on the phone, I end up getting “Your device is corrupt. It can’t be trusted and will not boot.”
I can easily re-flash e/os, but I do feel uneasy leaving the bootloader unlocked.

Interesting news!
In the /e/OS documentation there is no mention that the bootloader can only be locked again with the official /e/OS-T version, but not with the /e/OS-T community or /e/OS-U community versions.
With community, you can possibly flash avb_custom_key and get a yellow warning on a locked boot loader (be careful, I have not tried, you might get bricked!).
If you want locked bootloader with no warning you have to use the official build, which looks like its still Android 13 for the foreseeable future.
