Can't open FP update

There’s an FP update on my phone but I can’t open the file. I don’t know what the update is for, what it’s updating and whether I actually need it. Can anyone give more info? Also on how to open the file. Thanks

It should be the updater app which checks periodically for updates, but it works only if you have wifi enabled, not on 3G.

Also you might not be able to run the update, if its for 1.8 because this one is not available at the moment Update to 1.8 postponed.

It’s most likely the updater app checking for an update rather than it actually being an update (as already suggested). The good news is that the next update changes the text of this message so it’s clear that it’s a check rather than an update :slight_smile:
