Yes. The two year hardware guarantee (1 year for the battery) is provided by Fairphone, not the reseller.

Yes, the IMEI should be enough.

If you’re having a specific issue a description of that issue and a list of things you tried to solve it will help too.
For some common issues there is the troubleshooting tool. If you go through it and do some testing or try some possible fixes the tool will provide you with what info you should include in the support request in the end.
