Can not send messages via the HP!

I cannot send any messages via the support page… I tried
different browsers different VPNs around the world… and now I am getting
annoyed about this company!!!

I am using the Faiphone 2 now for almost 5 months and I
start go get a view problems:

  • The

cover started to disintegrate, I have removed a view times but not intensively

  • The

screen was going crazy a view weeks ago, than after the software update I can
not use the right 8 mm of my screen. This is supper annoying when you want to
use the 0 or the 9 button!

  • I am

currently in japan and bought a travel sim. However even though the specs say
the phone should work with some frequencies here I cannot use either the travel
sim or my sim from Europe here.

Specially the screen issue is really annoying. Is there a
bug fix for that available?

Best

Tobias

This is a known issue, you should get a replacement under warranty. Basically the support form should work, if for some reason not, try giving them a call.

Try to take off the display and reassemble the phone. See also here:

[/quote] Sounds like it could be in issue with SIM settings.
Indeed, numerous carriers should work with the FP2. You can check here which should or may not work: http://willmyphonework.net/. Did you make sure the SIM is unlocked for using it abroad? Check with your provider. Are calls working? If it’s only data that did not work, check your APN settings. Since apparently 2G does not work for most carriers, make sure that the right SIM is set to 3G/4G (only one SIM can use those, the other is then automatically set to 2G only).

Japan (and South Korea) have no GSM/2G network. So Fairphone 2’s dual-SIM feature does not work at all in Japan (and South Korea) and you can only use one SIM card in those countries.

thanks for all the information!

great it really works with one sim card. I wouldn’t have thought that this makes a difference…
I will try the other things as well as soon as I have time.

thanks a lot!
