Camera feature request: bokeh

May i kindly ask if it is possible to add a portrait-mode to the new camera app that creates photos with a bokeh effect?

There is a portrait mode in the camera app.
Right above the gallery shortcut, there’s a hamburger menu for additional camera options, and that’s where you find portrait mode.

And using the pencil you can move it to the “homescreen”

Hmm, there is no such icon in my camera app:

And that turned on creates photos with the desired bokeh effect (blurry background)?

Also for me there is not the portrait icon. But I’m on eOS so the camera app may be a little different. Are you @xjohanx on stock ROM? And if so, what’s your app/OS version

Maybe its not available on the FP4 I think @Nabalazs has a FP5? Will check later on my FP4.

Edit: it indeed does not exist on the FP4 (edit: with FPOS). So @xjohanx for a feature request you would have to contact Fairphone support, the forum is a user forum.

yeah, i have /e/OS (v2.5) installed as well

Then I guess you have to ask Murena, not Fairphone.
Would have been a valuable information at the beginning, btw  .

Not really as we talk about the FP Cam App and I use FPOS

But it‘s still e/OS/ which is used here, so Fairphone has not much influence on which functions are implemented or working on that OS.

That is in this case not correct, as e/OS has no influence on the FP Camera App,

But on the integration in the own OS.

The app does not have this function, so e/OS cant add it, its the App developer who would have to do this and this is Fairphone.

At the beginning, it was shown, that the app has such a function, then people with e/OS/ on their phone showed that the function isn‘t there. So for me there is a difference in the implementation.

Anyway, even if Fairphone adds a function in the app on FOS, that doesn’t mean it will be there on different operating systems, as Fairphone apps can‘t be installed freely from Play Store or other app stores.

The screenshot showing the function is from a FP5!

There‘s no sign for that. But we should stop flooding this thread, We can‘t change anything, neither in the app, nor on the OS.

So we are back to my first posting of contacting support.

The camera app i was talking about comes from fairphone and they ship their phones, if desired, with the one and only /e/OS

Please avoid the passive aggressive tone.

That was just a helpful advice, not even addressed to you.
