Calendar is tricky

Hey guys i am using the latest version of Fairphone Open and i found out that calendar is not working. Every time i try to open it it says i have to register an account but when i select “add account” nothing happens.
Do you know how to solve this problem and how to use the calendar normally?
Do i have to sign an account to use it?

Two solutions there are either an offline calendar account provider from f-droid or an online account that is capable of talking caldav.

I guess you are using FPOS with Google services, thus your default (and only) calendar app is Google calendar, which is forcing you to have a Google account for using it, right? As @Johannes pointed, you’ll probably want to use Offline Calendar to store calendar events locally, without syncing anywhere.
