I’ve been using /e/OS on my Fairphone 3 for a while now, and it’s a great experience. Installation was a breeze. So of course I tried to install it on my new FP5 as well, but after successfully unlocking the bootloader and starting flash_FP5_factory.sh, the script exited after a while with an error about a failed command. And I was stuck in the bootloader. From what I’ve read so far, only Fairphone themselves can help me now. Problem is: I tried the contact form, but I can’t send a message as it claims the IMEI (as it’s shown in the bootloader) isn’t valid. So I’m not allowed to even send the message. How can I contact Fairphone about this issue?
I can’t really help you but following exactely the tutorial it worked my my fp5; I remember having the same question - you probably have to run the installer on your pc now?
I’ll be damned. Suddenly, I was able to enter Recovery Mode and run the install script again – and this time it worked! Thanks everyone and sorry for the bother!
