I have three problems with my new phone. 1. The battery charges extremely slowly. 2. The battery drains quickly. In 54 minutes of use throughout the day, it went from 80% to 54%. I have closed most of the apps. When I have the phone on charge, I can use haptic vibration when I type, but when I unplug the charging cable, it stops working? Can you guys figure out what I can do because support never answers. I am deaf so I need to feel the phone vibrate. I have selected vibration but it doesn’t work.
When not charging, is your phone in battery saver mode? That might be the explanation why vibration isn’t working, while during charging, battery saver is disabled (the phone has enough electric power available anyway).
Jag har stängt av batterisparläge. Nu fungerar de haptiska vibrationerna. Tack! Det finns två problem kvar. 1. Batteriet laddas ur snabbt trots jag stängt av apparna. 2. Telefonen laddas upp långsamt. Hur löser jag det? Batteri problem eller?
I have turned off battery saving mode. Now the haptic vibrations work. Thank you! There are two problems left. 1. The battery drains quickly even though I have closed the apps. 2. The phone charges slowly. How do I fix it? Battery problem or?
Sincerely Lena

I think those two are connected with each other. What kind of charger do you use? If the phone has a high energy consumption in general, a weak charger will not be able to keep up with that and thus the battery will charge slowly. You mention that you closed all apps. So it must be something running in the background. You could try apps like AccuBattery (you’ll find a free version of it in the Play Store) which can monitor the energy consumption per app.
A strong charger on the other hand should still be able to charge the phone in an acceptable time. I use the slow charge option from the battery settings which restricts the charging to 1000 mA (5 Watts) and the phone probably needs 2 hours or so for charging. I rarely ever let it run dry and I only charge to 80%, so I don’t have the exact numbers. But with a quick charger that can be accelerated quite a lot (only tried that once or twice so far).
Thanks for your answer! I’ll try it and download it from the play store. I’m on a forum for those who have Fairphone. They also react to the battery draining very quickly. I finally closed all the apps. I couldn’t close the ones that are required to run the phone. They also suggest that I should complain about the phone to the retailer. I’ll try what you suggest first. The charging modules I’ve tried are turbo charging from Motorola, Sony, Huawei, Samsung and Apple. A shop called fix my Phoenix also tried but was unsuccessful.
Sincerely,
Lena
