I received my brand new FP5 a couple of weeks ago and I love it!
The only little problem I have is that after every reboot of the phone, I need to reactivate biometric support to get fingerprint unlock of the apps again. This implies going through an identity check with the camera for one of my banking apps to give me all of the functions back again. This can be a bit annoying.
I’m thinking of contacting FP5 support, since I think this might be a bug. I thought I should check with you guys first, to see if you have a solution or a workaround for this.
I just checked my two banking apps, no special problem.
However, I only use fingerprint biometrics on my FP5, not Face unlock, since I don’t always want the screen to unlock when I flip open the case just to look at the time.
You might want to check with your bank as well as with FP. There may be some extra security measure they’re using that forces you to reactivate biometric support?
Do you have Face unlock enabled? What happens in your banking app if you disable FU?
hello
I have several banking apps and no issues mentioned after the reboot.
Yet, each time I modify any of my fingerprints ( I do not use FU), all the banking apps ask me to log using a code and re-confirm biometric login.
Perhaps your reboot changes some of your settings? Does it happen with all the apps using biometric logins?
I just remembered that I have both removed and added fingerprints on several occasions after receiving my phone… so this is the issue. Not the reboots.
