Autofocus in Microsoft Authenticator App

I am trying to add 2FA for a Work/School account in the Microsoft Authenticator app. Every other time the autofocus does not work in the Microsoft. How can I fix it?

Every other time the autofocus does work, but then the app gets stuck loading after reading the QR-code. How can I fix it?

Edit: Fairphone Gen 6+, Android 16, Microsoft Authenticator version 6.2609.6214

  • your device

  • your OS

  • your Microsoft Authenticator Build Number/App version?

Generally speaking I recall some issues with devices not focusing in apps, like WhatsApp for instance, sometimes repeating the action did the trick.

Yes, the camera in WhatsApp had the same issue when I had to scan a QR code to transfer chats to the new device.

This is my mother’s new FP Gen 6+ that I have been talking about. She cannot handle this bug and all other things that are not working. Unfortunately, I have to send the phone back and I will order her a new Google phone.

Yes, but to perhaps help other users finding this later, was this Fairphone’s Android OS or was it Murena’s /e/OS?

If the phone had eOS, then I would specify that.
