The loathsome “audio focus” feature has been hurting my brain for many versions of android. If anyone can explain to me why not being able to hear the video you’re watching for a few moments just to hear a notification ding (that you would easily hear anyway) is a good idea, I’d love to hear it. Lol.
Anyway, anyone in the fair phone forum know how to get rid of it?
Turn on the “Do not disturb” function!?
Haha, yeah, except for two things. 1: I have a few key people who I’ve set to bypass my DND, but more importantly, 2: I don’t actually want to turn of notifications, I don’t mind a little beep, I just don’t want to lose the ability to hear a good chunk of words from my video totally unnecessarily just for that little beep.
There used to be something like com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch
But that doesn’t work anymore. Android wants to do it itself: For wireless audio targets, the sources are mixed (because, for example, the phone is in your pocket); wired audio targets only get the media audio. So try watching the video with wired earbuds.
