Annoying Media-Menu on left side of the screen

The FP2 of my wife shows a strange behavior since the latest update:
Whenever the screen changes a kind of Media-Menu (two sliders and a button to enter the settings) pops out of the left side of the screen and blocks the screen for a few seconds.
The question is: How can this be disabled?

Doesn’t ring a bell.
Can you upload a screenshot (press the power button and Vol - simultaneously to get one) or a photo?
