thanks @Ingo and indeed @RyzenZen as mentioned in my post
this is a staged roll-out, so not all users receive it right away
Now i have also the update,- downloading
Update worked fine for me, the mobile rebooted into the new Android 16 without any issues. Maybe that update fixed some problems with sound quality during phone calls.
Hey
But there is an option to switch without effect, so I consider this as a bug, isnβt it?
The day Android will remove three button navigation will be the day I will dispose my smartphone. Gesture navigation is a buggy pain. It just does not work with certain apps. At least on Android it is a mess.
Can anyone confirm, that with Android 16, the In-App Camera of Signal (Messaging App) isnβt working anymore? I get two single frames, then itβs stuck.
Could be a signal Problem.
On a FP6 with android 15 I have the same problem. Interestingly the front camera works if you switch fast enough before the camera freezes. Resetting the signal camera permissions also resets the the lock
Same here but I had this on A15 as well.
Since updating to Android 16, the Edge browser is stuck at 30fps, unless I set the maximum refresh rate to 120hz (I have it at 60hz normally). Then, it uses 120.
The problem only affects Edge, so it may be a Microsoft issue as well.
After update to 16, WIFI connects, but soon loses ipv6 connectivity causing all sorts of issues as phone still tries over v6. Maybe dns over tls issue is related?
The Android intelligence thingy keeps crashing for me since updating to Android 16. Is anyone else experience this issue?
Does anyone have problems with roaming connection? Iβm in Czech Republic now and I am not able to connect anything else than 2g networks
Got the same prob since the android16 update. Worked fine in android 15
To work around it I add photos from the camera-app in the chat. Makes me still post photos, but itβs quite annoying.
Yesterday i updated my fairphone 6 to android 16, i was thinking phone was discharged yesterday, today in few hours i noticed my phone shutdown several times after being in my pocket. There is any chance to check log why is shutting down ?
I updated my Fairphone 6 this morning. Before updating I had problems with adaptive brightness, but now the problems seem to be partially solved with the new Android version. This is at least my first impression. The only issue is that brightness goes to the minimum level when the environment is partially dark. I suppose that this is a deliberate choice and this is a bit excessive,at least from my point of view. I do not know if this can be manually corrected.
Apart this detail, I did not observe any other issue for the moment.

4G icon : too big. Battery icon : too small. Notifications on lock screen : too close to the clock. Changing volume : glitch on the 3 button nav bar (clipped). Invert buttons on nav bar : does not work.
Another issue I have with A16 and not experienced this before:
When I connect it to Android Auto (Toyota Rav4) and make a call, it constantly connects and disconnects Bluetooth when making a call, so the voice constantly drops and switches between car audio and a phone speaker.
Not sure what might be the reason but it is unusable in the car.
