Thank you for bringing this update to the FP4!
The update installation went smooth. However, I have problems using the Voice Input (Google Assistant) when connected to Android Auto. Android crashes and the phone reboots.

Kernel version will always be a problem, as long as there is no regulation. Maybe the EU will understand it some day.
I really hope, they updated at least the config for the mobile network device driver, tooā¦
Update ran smoothly.
You mention:
ā¦
Option to remove search bar from home screen
ā¦
Where do I find this Option?
It should be (my phone is in German):
SettingsāScreenāSearchbar
But beware, this needs a reboot!
A post was merged into an existing topic: FP4 flashing screen after A15 upgrade
I updated the info in the first post now
I just tested and I have all my BT devices and could connect without issues to 2 of 3 so I guess the reason I could not connected to the third one is rather with the BT device and not the FP4
@peci1 @Fairphone_CM so it might have a different route cause than the bug that was fixed, unless we get many reports about this
Not entirely surprised. However, I did spot āCIPā in the version name, which is Civil Infrastructure Platform. This seems to be a consortium back-porting stuff to ancient kernels. Pretty fascinating to see the FP team pulled off a rebase to a CIP-maintained kernel. And their kernel tree does actually contain tons of fixes and optimisations for core elements of the kernel. No idea about the modem stuff though, thatās an out-of-tree driver(/firmware) from Qualcomm.
thanks so much @yvmuell ! ![]()
I just did the update and had this happen to me as well, my connected devices list became empty. Not a big issue as I can just re-pair what I need but noting it does seem to be a bug.
Thanks for tagging me, Iāve flagged this internally
Could you also check, if someone can provide the boot image and/or install package for his update ASAP?
@Lars_Hennig they are on their way! we are aiming to provide them as quickly as possible once the roll out starts, but itās not always possible to be published at the same time
They are there. It is a great improvement that such requests are done so quickly! Thanks a lot!
I donāt dare to make the update yet. ![]()
Update started as i used my o2 Sim instead of the Telekom esim.
Now i am in Android 15, all Bluetooth Connections are working as before, i havenāt had to repair. Android Auto ist working (carabc Box).
No Problems so far
Everything worked out for me, no issues with Bluetooth devices. It needed to restart twice, which surprised me.
The upgrade went smoothly
.
But I miss the control to disable the camera in Quick Settings. Also the option 'Camera accessā is missing in Settings > Security & privacy > Privacy controls. Does anyone else have this problem and perhaps a solution?
Best regards,
Robert
Update went smoothly for me, thanks.
